View Full Version : Tazz to be in the new ECW???

Tazz may be a part of the ECW brand. Some serious discussion has taken place in regards to removing him from Smackdown to do color commentary with Joey Styles. Also, an idea has been tossed around for him to leave announcing all together and play a "badass MMA trainer" on television. Basically, he would endorse a new wrestler or group of wrestlers with a shootfighter aura that could be the next generation stars of ECW. And perhaps he could be a color commentator and play a MMA trainer at the same time. These are simply ideas that have been tossed around, and nothing is final at the moment.
The number one candidate to do the next generation shootfighter gimmick would be John Carelli out of Ohio Valley Wrestling. Carelli is doing a Fedor gimmick as Boris Alexiev in OVW. Although, Carelli is not under WWE contract at the moment, and there is no movement to sign him. Paul Heyman seems to be the only person who sees something in him.

i dunno about this, i think Tazz should stay on commentary with Cole on SD! Unless he hasn't lost his ability, it could work...
If this happens who would be the new color commentator on Smackdown!?

Who cares? He is a decent commentator, but not irreplaceable, and he's not going to wrestle again, and he shouldn't. So all he's going to add is his fleeting name value if he does do it.

I think Styles and Tazz would be a good duo on the mike...

I reckon Styles would prefer to do play-by-play for ECW on his own, just like he used to, without a color commentator.

I've heard that Styles and Tazz hate each other. Anyone know if this is a work or not?

Tazz isnt wrestling because of his fucked up neck.....it has noting to do with ablitiy. If he wants to live he's not gonna risk fucking it up agian. Notice how when ever anything for ECW comes up the only thing he does is his Tazzmission. I wont say he'll never wrestle a match again, but its unlikley you'll see him in action any time soon.

Well, considering he broke is neck in '94 or '95, I don't think that's the major concern. From what he says, it's his lack of passion that really got him to retire from active competition. I personally think he should stay retired from wrestling, and I think he will.

I have to agree, there is slim to none chance he'll be capable of wrestling in the ring again. He has no reason or motivation to rise up from commentary. He won the ECW Championship before he made his debut in WWE and became a WWE Hardcore champion twice. He couldn't be happier with what accomplishments he's had in his past. The most that'll happen is he'll just get involved in some segment in ECW's One Night Stand.

Well if Styles and Tazz hate each other, it has to be a work. And there's no doubt in my mind that Tazz will stay retired as a competitor...

If that happens, I bet The Coach will replace him.

That reminds me of the time when I saw Coach in Jack in the Box. I thought he would go for the Jumbo Jack, but he ended up ordering the sour dough Jack. That's a fact Jack!

I hear his restaurant is awesome. Which makes sense, really. The dude didn't get to be as fat as he is eating Kraft Macaroni & Cheese. By the way, that shit has to rank in the top 5 of "RTJ's Most Hated Foods." For anyone who was wondering.

He didn't? Please elaborate. It's important for me to watch out for these 5 meals.
