Because the panda-fuckers had the WWF trademark first. A long time ago, the panda-fuckers sued Vince Sr. and, due to the settlement compromise, the term "WWF" could only be used in the US or North America or something like that. Therefore, WWF/E toured internationally very, very little after that, and the few times that they took international tours, they had to advertise as "World Wrestling Federation" and not "WWF." Once WWF.com was organized, the panda-fuckers said that was a violation of the settlement and sued again. The panda-fuckers won, and shortly thereafter WWF wrestling became WWE. You know, for a non-profit organization, they sure have a lot of money to throw around for lawyers and stuff.

It's not the logo, it's the name. "World Wrestling Entertainment" sounds gay. "World Wrestling Federation" at least makes it sound like a legit pro wrestling promotion.

I think it was last year i heard McMahon say on RAW in a promo, "Bruno Sammartino was the first, then WWWF champion) At first i was like wtf coz i swore he said WWF, then on the replay i realized he said it was WWWF. So they aren't prohibited from using that, but it sucks...go back to WWF!
