This video highlights the conclusion to the fifth-ever King of Hardcore tournament - a weekend where there was no disqualification, meaning anything goes! This video features the semi-final and final matches of KOH - with the winner not only becoming the King of Hardcore, but also PWF World Heavyweight Champion. Enjoy!
King of Hardcore V Day Two - 10/08/08
Day two of King of Hardcore saw the culmination of the KOH tournament to crown the PWF champion.
But there was also a mini tournament announced by CEO Neysha Spalding. Kevin Starr and Jay Santini came through matches against Massimo Hayashi and David Tucker to meet each other in the final. The former partners had a great battle - but in the end it was Kevin Starr who bagged a future title shot with a pedigree on Santini. The two embraced at the end of the match.
And in the King of Hardcore tournament, the semi-final pitting the team of Walter Craib & Will Main against PAD & Bryan Tucker was a wild affair - but in the end it was the veterans who got the job done after Will's head was busted open, after being back suplexed into a wall by Bryan Tucker. The champions hit a Stunner/Rock Bottom combo on Walter and there was no coming back.
So Bryan and PAD were destined to meet in the final of KOH - but it seemed they had an agreement that PAD would lie down for Bryan. But before the count went down, PAD kicked out and said he was changing the agreement. PAD said he's been standing on the sidelines, taking the bullet whilst Bryan basks in the glory. PAD says its time to take the belt back and the two go into a war.
The final started with straight wrestling but soon broke down. Highlights were Bryan piledriving PAD off the garden wall, plus a massive Tornado DDT on the outside. However in the ring, PAD gained the upper hand and began to punish Bryan. It looked like he had the job done after hitting Death Valley Driver off a ladder and through a table.
But PAD got cocky, and said he wanted one more Stunner to get the job done. PAD, feeling the hurt from the weekend, took an eternity to get Bryan to his feet, and as he went for the stunner, Bryan was able to hook him in a schoolboy for the three-count.
Bryan not only won the King of Hardcore two years in a row - he remains PWF Champion. However, at the three-count, it appeared that PAD's shoulders were off the mat?! What will the board have to say about the decision. Tune into the next Tuesday Night Meat to find out!
