The darkness, the nu-metal, the "I don't have anything better to do on schoolnights" vibe of it.

the darkness was to somewhat disguise his identity, the song is his theme music, and in case u cant tell it was filmmed on the beach, so it wouldnt be a "schoolnight" neways... but aside from the "emo" factor do u think the vid was good?

As far as the most of the shite I see around here goes, it was actually fairly well produced. The theme music really blows though. I can't stand that sort of girly-man singing style. I picture the singer as some kind of drag queen wearing dark make-up, in tears on stage as his handful of juvenile fans sheepishly hang on his every gay word.
