The matches were:
IC Title, Falls Count Anywhere
Will Main vs. PAD
Jay Santini Vs. David Tucker
PWF World Heavyweight Title
Bryan Tucker Vs. Walter Craib
REVELATION IV: JULY 8TH, 2008
Michael Manners comes out to the ring to give an introduction to the show, he is soon joined by PAD who runs through the card for tonight’s show and sends us to the opening video.
After coming back from the video, we see CEO Neysha Spalding meeting Jay Santini at the PWF Arena. Neysha asks if Jay is ready for his match, he gestures that he is but before he can leave to prepare, Pride ProTection come round the corner. David Tucker slaps Jay Santini and a mass brawl breaks out. The PWF ring crew manage to separate PPT from Jay but this assault means David goes into his match tonight with the upper-hand.
Next we hear from PWF Intercontinental Champion Will Main ahead of his title defence against PAD tonight. Says he’s proven why he is the champ, and has two wins over PAD today. Says that it is Falls Count Anywhere tonight and that is his favourite match. Says that he’s beaten PAD before, and surely a third victory is on the cards tonight.
After heading to the preview video, it is time for our first match.
Jay Santini Vs David Tucker
Early on in this match, referee Neysha Spalding through David’s Pride ProTection mates, Massimo Hayashi & The Bodyguard, back to the backstage area, after she caught them interfering in the match.
This allowed Jay to take the advantage, but then we received word of a commotion in the back, Massimo & the Bodyguard are trying to get back into the arena. Suddenly, Kevin Starr attacks them with a kendo stick. Let’s remember Kevin was beaten up by PPT a few weeks back.
Kevin heads to the ring and tries to get at David Tucker, the head of the group. But as the referee was distracted, Jay Santini was knocked off the ladder, landing on his head. David Tucker made the cover and got the three-count. David escaped with a victory, and what about the Kevin/Jay relationship - in tatters?
Next we hear from Walter Craib ahead of his big title match. Says that he is going to destroy Bryan tonight and leave with the PWF title - and then next week, he’ll be free to reveal Bryan Tucker’s secret to the world.
Then we are joined at ringside by the champion. Bryan says that people think Walter is the favourite - but Bryan says not to bet against him. He’s so close to making it to a year, and is not going to miss out on making his legacy. Suddenly, Walter’s music hits. Walter stays 10feet away from Bryan as per the instructions of the PWF board - the two have an argument with both vowing that they will be leaving as champion tonight. We’ll see who does!
Next we see Michael Manners coaching Hannah Richards on her interview skills - then it’s time for PAD’s promo, but the interplay between Hannah and Michael puts PAD off, and he leaves them to their lesson.
After the highlight video, it’s match-time!
PWF IC Title Match : Falls Count Anywhere
Will Main Vs .PAD.
In a great match, it was Will who took the advantage, pinpointing PAD’s knee. However, PAD persevered and managed to bring himself back into the match.
This one eventually went outside the ring, and the two brawled across the arena. PAD was then able to do something he wasn’t able to in their previous match - power bomb Will off a ladder through the Revelation set!!!
Will Main lay unconscious as PAD made the cover for the three-count to become the Intercontinental Champion for the very-first time! After the match, PAD says he doesn’t want Will’s Mickey Mouse belt - next week on TNM he wants the old belt presented to him in the ring. What a match!
After a short break, it’s then main event time!
PWF World Heavyweight Championship: Bryan Tucker Vs Walter Craib
After 42 minutes of the most intense action we’ve seen in PWF, Bryan Tucker retained his title after hitting a second Rock Bottom on Walter!
The match opened with Bryan Tucker getting the advantage in chain wrestling, this made Walter frustrated and he soon raked Bryan’s eyes to take control. Bryan attempted to comeback but was always cut-off by Walter.
Bryan got the Crossface locked on early but Walter made the ropes, and then as Bryan tried to hit a 10-punch in the corner, Walter countered and power bombed his opponent!
Walter hit his combination kicks and elbow drop, but Bryan kept coming back and kicking out. Walter hit the F5 - a move he hasn’t used this year - but Bryan still kicked out.
As Walter went for the Toxic Crusader, Bryan countered into the Crossface. Walter tried to roll-through but Bryan rolled through the roll-through! Walter got the ropes but Bryan was back in it!
Bryan attempted a tope to the outside, but Walter moved and Bryan went crashing through the outside. Walter sensing the opportunity locked on the Anaconda Vice and it looked like we would be crowning a new champion.
However, Bryan came back to hit a Twist of Fate - but Walter kicked out! Three standing moonsaults also couldn’t get the job done, nor could a flying head butt. After hitting the Rock Bottom, Bryan came so close but Walter kicked out.
As Bryan sensed he could use the Crossface, Walter countered into the Anaconda Vice - from which Bryan escaped and tried to hit the Crossface. Walter countered and went for the Crusador only for Bryan to counter into the Rock Bottom. However Walter pushed Bryan off, and he came back into the Avenger only for Bryan to duck around Walter’s body and hit a snap Rock Bottom for the three-count.
What an amazing match - Bryan Tucker is still the PWF Champion and his reign now sits at 11 months! Can he make it to the year - tune into PWF throughout July to find out!
