Three Kings IV 03/06/08
The 2008 edition of PWF Three Kings 2008 opens with Michael Manners, who goes through tonight’s exciting card at the PWF Arena. This is interrupted by PAD, who says that tonight, in the Old School Rules match, he will overcome Walter Craib once more just like he has done twice before.
After this we go to Massimo Hayashi who is posing with the old IC Title belt. One of his opponents for tonight’s match, Kevin Starr, walks in and taps Massimo on the shoulder. At first Massimo his scared, but then he laughs so much when he realizes who it is. Kevin then leaves the room, but not before warning the Japanese byw legend will not be winning tonight’s match - but Kevin Starr will!
We then head to some words with PWF Champion Bryan Tucker, ahead of his 3-way Ladder Match tonight. Says once again the odds have been stacked against him, but says his title reign is not ready to end tonight. Says he was robbed out of the title at his last ladder match at Three Kings 2004 - promises there will be no repeat of that tonight.
New PWF interviewer Hannah Richards is then with Will Main, and asks him about his upcoming title defence. Will says he’s already proven he can beat Massimo Hayashi, but the man he will have to watch out is Kevin Starr. Says the only way Kev beat him in the #1contendership Gauntlet a few weeks back, was because he cheated. This brings Kevin into shot who disputes this and says tonight there is going to be a new champion crowned.
Our cameraman then tracks down Walter Craib, who is in the middle of a phone call. Ends the call by saying “Well I guess I’ll see you later then.” Walter then has some words for PAD tonight, says the only way things can ever let things rest is if Walter can beat PAD in the ring. Promises that tonight he is not only going to win the match, he is going to hurt PAD.
PWF Intercontinental Championship: Three-Way Dance Match
Massimo Hayashi Vs Kevin Starr Vs Will Main
What a fast-paced match this was! All three competitors had chances to win this, but as is so often in these multi-person matches, the third man was there to break things up.
However, Kevin Starr looked like he had it done when he hit a jumping power slam - which is calling the Starr Drop - on Massimo Hayashi however the champion managed to break things up and after a brief exchange of blows, Will Main hit the Main Effect.
With Kevin out for the count, it would have been easy for Will to make the cover, however once again, the third man was going to be very important. Will spotted Massimo getting to his feet and in a flash, he hit a sunset flip on a dazed Massimo to score the decisive pinfall. Will Main is still the IC Champion!!!
We then cut backstage to see Jay Santini preparing for his match. Bryan Tucker then walks in and tells him that tonight it will be over between the two, one way or another, say may the best man win and extends a handshake to Santini. The third man in that match tonight, David Tucker, steps in and swipes Bryan‘s hand out of the way. David says that Bryan is right, the best man will win tonight - and that will be him! Jay is pissed off by David’s words while Bryan stares at his brother ahead of another important title match in the PWF Arena.
PWF World Heavyweight Championship: Traditional Three-Way Ladder Match
Bryan Tucker Vs Jay Santini Vs David Tucker
So many highlights from this, the most damned PWF Title match in history!
A new champion looked almost certain as Jay Santini prepared to superplex Bryan Tucker off the top of the ladder and through a table he had arranged at the bottom. However, the resolve of the champion was evident as he battled back, and sent Jay Santini hurtling through the table.
Bryan it seemed would retain - until his brother leaped upon the ladder and sacrificed his own well-being to take his brother crashing down on the ropes!
David then had the chance to climb the ladder. Having taken a hell of a beating, David was struggling to make it to the top. But with both of his competitors down, it looked like David would finally become champion at the third attempt. However, as he eventually reached the top, and had one hand on the title, the ladder began to wobble, and at the bottom was Bryan Tucker scrambling to push the ladder over. As David smashed into the ropes, the match had turned again.
As Bryan scrambled up the ladder and reached for his title to remain PWF Champion,
we knew we had seen an epic in the PWF Arena! After the match, Jay and Bryan reconciled their differences as Jay lifted the victor‘s arm.
Michael Manners then explained the rules for tonight’s match
No rope breaks, but reaching the corner poles would cause a break
New PWF rules waved - therefore weapons are legal!
Falls count only inside the ring
Old School .P.W.F. Rules Match
Walter Craib Vs .PAD.
This was a battle to end-it-all between two fierce foes intent on destruction. Before the match, PAD said he would offer to shake Walter’s hand if he beats him.
Mid-way through the match, Walter Craib disappeared backstage before hearing former PWF Champion Main’s music blasting over the sound system. Was the former commissioner coming back to exact revenge for a brutal beating at the last PWF supershow - Three Kings 2004? No…. it was merely a diversion as Walter punched PAD with a studded glove - and bust him wide open!
It looked bleak for PAD but in desperation, he was able to hit a death valley driver onto a ladder.
Was that the move that would change the match? As both men battled for supremacy, it became clear that we may not see a winner! However, after locking in the Anaconda Vice, Walter Craib took the edge and it looked like the end for PAD. As the referee checked him for the second time, it indeed was the end as PAD’s hand hit the mat for a third time and Walter Craib had finally got the victory he had wanted.
With PAD’s body unconscious, Walter kept the Anaconda Vice locked in, screaming for the lifeless PAD to tap out. After being persuaded to give up the hold, Walter’s arm was raised in victory.
True to his word, PAD offered a handshake to Walter. However Walter stuck to his word by saying he would never do that and continued the beating on a man he despises.
As Walter left the ring, he gestured to PWF Champion Bryan Tucker and delivered a massive warning - “You’re next Bryan, you’re next!” What a show!
RESULTSIC Title: Will Main (champ) def. Massimo Hayashi & Kevin Starr; PWF World Title: Bryan Tucker (champ) def. Jay Santini & David Tucker; Old School PWF Rules Match: Walter Craib def. .PAD.
ROUND-UPWhat will be the fall-out from this show! Will Main is still the IC Champion, who will be his next challenger? Jay Santini raised Bryan’s arm after the PWF Champion retained the title, are these two friends again? And Walter Craib delivered a warning to the PWF Champion that he is serving notice on his title reign, after finally defeating PAD, busting him open along the way. What a show this was, tune into TNM next week for all the fall-out from the fifth PWF supershow of the new era!
