TNM #24 - 13/05/08

Opening this week‘s TNM is the winner of last week‘s “Make-a-wish“ Race to the Top match, David Tucker. David says last week he outsmarted everyone to claim the briefcase and now gets to make ANY match of his choosing. David says this is a big decision, and something he needs to think through. Tells the PWF fans that he is not ready to announce which wish he is going to make - but next week on TNM, we will all find out!

After the opening credits, we head to PWF announcer Michael Manners with PWF World Heavyweight Champion Bryan Tucker. Michael asks Bryan if he is ready to return to the ring for the first-time since Survivor War, teaming with Kevin Starr to take on his brother, David, and Jay Santini. Bryan says that the doctors have cleared him to wrestle after three weeks of intense rehab. Says that although his arm is not at 100%, and there is still a risk of re-injury, Bryan is prepared to gamble in order to exact revenge on Jay Santini, not only for injuring his arm, but attacking his friend Little Jay. Says he will do what ever it takes to gain vengeance for Little Jay - starting in tonight’s tag match.

Next we hear from PAD who has some words after last week’s mind games. Says he had no plans to even participate in the Race to the Top match - however, whoever sent that picture from Main riled him up so much. Says he wasn’t focusing and took his eye off guard - but says all that doesn’t matter. Mentions his attack on Walter and how he’s gotten rid of everyone who has caused him a problem in the past - including Stephen Main. This is then interrupted by IC Champ Will Main. PAD asks Will how is friend Walter is getting on. Will says PAD knows fine well how Walter is - not well enough to be cleared to wrestle. Will says the board have even banned Walter from coming to TNM for fear of what might happen. PAD says he fears nothing. Will picks up on this and says that ever since he’s been in the PWF, since he was a referee, PAD has been picking on him. Will says he has had enough and the two square up, and there is a clear height distance. Will challenges PAD to a match tonight, PAD responds in a pompous and self-important way and asks whats in it for him to drop to Will’s “lightweight” level. Will says he will put the belt on the line in a “no disqualifaction, falls count anywhere” match. PAD says that sounds more like it - you’re on! That’s tonight’s TNM main event sorted!

Next we see Jay Santini, who meets Kevin Starr backstage. The two square-off, Kevin says he hasn’t run into Jay since coming back into the PWF. Says that at Prestlemania, Jay Santini changed when he locked in that Single Leg Crab and refused to let it go even after the bell. Says that the damage done to his leg has heeled, but he can’t wait to kick his ass in the ring tonight. Strong words from Mr. Starr.

Bryan Tucker & Kevin Starr Vs. Jay Santini & David Tucker

Bryan and Kevin had this one in the bag - until David Tucker took his “Make-a-wish” briefcase into the ring. Referee Michael Manners tried to get it off him but David throws the briefcase over the ref’s head to Jay Santini, and while David distracts the referee in the corner, Jay Santini uses David Tucker’s briefcase on Bryan, throws the briefcase out of the ring, referee turns round, then they get the three-count. David Tucker and Jay Santini win the match - damn cheats!

Next we hear from PWF CEO Neysha Spalding who announces that next week’s TNM #25 will have a special gauntlet match - with the winner to get a shot at the PWF World Title in the traditional Ladder Match at Three Kings. She wishes next week’s participants all the best.

PWF IC Title, No DQ, Falls Count Anywhere: Will Main Vs. .PAD.

What a contest this proved to be! Both men had chances to put this one away, PAD using his power but Will using his speed.

Highlights from this one where a phenomenal tornado DDT executed off a wall by Will, and a huge hurrancaranna from the OUTSIDE into the ring. But PAD too had some great spots, countering Will’s attempt at a hurrancanrana into a backbreaker - then he managed to hit a stunner and apply the dragon clutch - but the champ would not give up and made the ropes!

As PAD set up for his elbow drop off the ladder, Mainer’s music came blaring out of the PWF speakers! Was the former commissioner returning? NO, it was yet more mind games as the distraction allowed Will enough time to hit a superplex off the ladder, however this was not the end as PAD kicked out. However, Will grabbed the IC title and placed it position, then mounted the ladder and hit the tornado Main Effect off the ladder and onto the title. A three-count later and Will Main had retained his PWF IC Championship in one amazing TNM match!

MATCH RESULTS Jay Santini & David Tucker def. Bryan Tucker & Kevin Starr; PWF IC Title - Will Main def. PAD

NEXT WEEK TNM #25 will feature a special gauntlet match for the #1 contendership to the PWF World Heavyweight Championship, with the winner to meet Bryan Tucker at Three Kings 2008 in the traditional Ladder Match! Also we will see the fall-out from this week’s awesome main event between PAD and Will Main, in which the IC Champ retained his title - although what about Mainer’s music playing!!! Tune in next week as we celebrate the 25th TNM in the new PWF era!!!

I pretty much live for this. This makes my week. I mean, Will Main is like the best amateur professional wrestler ever.
