Anybody watch it? Good PPV. All of the fights went three rounds, and only one ended before decision (Griffin vs. Shogun) which ended only seventeen seconds before decision. Liddell got beaten by Keith Jardine by a 2-to-1 decision (which really should have been unanimous), which makes two losses in a row for ol' Chucky. Shogun lost his debut fight in the UFC to Forrest, who looked probably the best he's ever looked. Tyson Griffin will be a fighter to watch out for. That fight between him and Tiago Thavares or however the fuck you spell it was probably the fight of the night. Jon Fitch beat Diego Sanchez in a close runner-up to the fight of the night. Good PPV overall.

Shogun looked like shit. Apparently Pride have, shall we say, more lenient drug testing policies than UFC and a few people are suggesting he's stopped 'roiding up which would explain his piss poor showing. Rampage'll definitely be ranked #1 LHW in the world after this, not that those rankings mean shit anymore. I think Liddell's lost his aura of invincibility and now no-one's scared of him they more prepared to fight him, not that he's even close to as good as he was a year or two ago. Jardine got fucked over by Alexander and this event has just thrown the whole light heavyweight division into disarray. I don't think the Liddell Vs Silva fight should go ahead now even if they both want to. Both fighters are coming off two successive losses and a third defeat for either would kill their buzz, not that Liddell has much anymore and not that most UFC fans know who Wanderlei is.
Also, who gets a shot at the title now? by my reckoning Shogun < Griffin < Jardine < Houston Alexander, but how the hell do you put Alexander in a title fight right now after just two matches and no Top 10 wins under his belt. For me Griffin or Machida should fight Rampage, Wanderlei should fight maybe Bisping and Liddell should fight Shogun, but I don't even know if that would work out because these upsets have really shat all over the division. The only top fighter who's credibility and win streak is in tact is Rampage, and he's already the champion.
Tyson Griffin's a great little fighter but until Sean Sherk moves up or gets caught with a needle in his arm, I can't see anyone beating him.

I don't know what it is. Everybody but Rampage who's come from Pride to UFC has looked awful. So bad that it can't be blamed on mind set because of the cage.
If the UFC would just let Fedor fight in his own country as part of his contract we would see the real test on the difference between Pride and UFC.

Actually, I think Jardine's win makes things a lot more interesting. Jardine beat Liddell, but Alexander beat Jardine. Jardine also beat Griffin, who lost to Tito, who was beat by Liddell, etc. It makes the outcomes of the fights seem that much more important and unpredictable.

Rampage and Anderson Silva. Dan Henderson did himself proud even though he lost.
And nah I can't take all these upsets, by the end of each show I'm a bag of nerves, it's crazy.

Minotauro won, but managed to look shitty as well. Hopefully he can settle down and be a force in the heavyweight division, and yeah I forgot about Silva. Anybody beating him at Middleweight level is an upset right now.

Everything I said should or would happen in this post eventually did. I'm the nostradamus of fisty cuffs.

I noticed that too. Wierd. Right ol' prognosticator eh?
Amazing how badly that division has sunk since Johnny's post back in 2007. The belt hasn't been defended in ten months and that last defence was a shambles in terms of judging. UFC need to put on less shows with interesting cards. I watched a bit of UFC 111 just to see GSP in the main event but it was so fucking boring I fell asleep.
They're seriously making Vince mistakes when it comes to organising their PPVs. Sure, they're probably making more money, but the events feel watered down.
