I think he should be in any pro wrestling Hall Of Fame. For over a decade he was among the best wrestlers in the world, and to completely discount that regardless of what happened is a travesty.

I don't really care if the WWE lets him in or not, because the whole WWE HOF is kinda stupid anyway. People who are completely undeserving have been inducted. Sure, people get a warm fuzzy feeling when Piper or Hart or Hogan or Henning or Orndorff and people like that are inducted. I can understand why they inducted people like Dusty and Harley, even though they did nothing of note in the WWE. But what the fuck did Pete Rose and William Perry do to deserve induction into the WWE HOF? It's a fucking miscarriage of justice that Rick Rude and Randy Savage are not in the Hall Of Fame, but Pete fucking Rose and William fucking "The fucking Refrigerator" fucking Perry are. Shit, Hillbilly Jim has more reason to be in the Hall Of Fame than those two.

I would put Benoit in the HoF, but not for a few years. O.J. Simpson is in the pro football HoF, albeit his ordeal occured about 10 years after his induction, but people have kind of moved on past the trial and more light has been brought on his football career lately.

I know it isn't exactly the same, any murder of a child is going to be considered more horrible in our culture, but it didn't take long for O.J. and/or murder to become a punch line. Jokes are going to come, and it won't do any good to freak out about it, act all self-righteous, and be a prick.

I think when he killed two of his biggest supporters (who celebrated in ring with him after his title win) makes him ineligible. Doesn't matter how many years he wrestled, he removed two lives from the planet and then his own. Killing anyone would make him ineligible. I realize people still believe it was a conspiracy, but what in your mind would not make him eligible?

I say if Pete Rose is banned from baseball's Hall of Fame due to gambling, Benoit is definitely banned from WWE's Hall of Fame, even if it's not really a major Hall of Fame...You can tell he won't be going in based on the WWE removing his name from every product it was on.
