I was wondering if anybody had any news about The Rock.
I had read recently on wwe.com that The Rock may have been on the urge of a comeback.

I don't no about anybody else but i would really welcome a return, but it would have a substantial 1.
not just one night on RAW.

What does everyody else think ?

probably only for a 1 night stand on SD! / RAW or the new ECW when it launches for real > i personally think The Rock is never going to come back for real

Even if the Rock does come back, he wont have the same fan following that he did before, because of his movies. He'll most probably still do the same things, but people won't buy it as readily. It's like if you are fucking a beautiful woman, and she's the best you've ever had and you're totally in love with her. Then, she starts sleepin around, or doing pornos or something. You decide to keep fucking her, cos she's so beautiful and so good, but its not as brilliant anymore. She's still as beautiful, still as good in bed, but because she's been other places she's just not the same anymore.

The Rock will still be the same Rock, still as funny, still as hot, still as good an athlete as he was before, but because you've seen him in movies with an afro and a gun and God knows what else, he's just not the same anymore.

Do you see what i mean? Cos i sure as hell dont.

Check in wit me, an' do yo job...

I never liked the Rock. Ever. At all. He was occasionally kinda funny, but he couldn't get it done in the ring, and his catchphrases bored me. I hope he never comes back to wrestling. They should focus on making new stars.

Nah. I'd still fuck the girl, and I'd still mark for Rocky.

The Rock makes more money doing one movie than he does working for the WWE one full year. A movie shoot runs about 6-7 months roughly depending on the story and what not. Editing the thing down is about 2 months or so.

Any way, I think we'll see him back one day but not anytime soon. He isn't under contract to the WWE anymore. They basically released him. So he can do what ever he wants. I heard he was in talks with TNA for a few gigs but that went no where.

Rock matches that would be cool....

vs. Orton
vs. Batista
vs. HBK (in an interview, Rock said that he has no interests wrestling HBK ever)

I think with the movies Rock can only get more fans because he is now recognized by people outside of wrestling that might be attracted to wrestling all of the sudden because they liked the Rock in the movies. Too bad Rock doesn't really play anyone with a sense of humor, cause that type of role would be better suited for him.

Put the Rock in a match with Hogan first, and then slap him in a match with Cena. The lemmings won't know who to give heat!

Rock/HBK, Rock/Cena or Rock/Batista would be great PPV headliners. It's never gonna happen though. Rock's finished with wrestling.

Yeah Rocky's done. He might make random one off apperances for SD! or RAW in the near future, but the last time I saw him was on RAW in 2004 for the diva search contest...I think so anyway...

Rocky could get it done in the ring. Vs Jericho, vs Austin, vs Benoit, vs Lesnar, vs HHH.

i think the rock will come back and i personally think it would be great if he did he was one of the wwe biggest headliners along with austin, HBK, triple h, and lesnar.( have been a rock fan since i started watching wwe)

he has also provided some of the best matches ever, his feud with hogan was awsome and their match at wrestlemania X8 was absolutly brill.

matches i would like to see him in.

the rock v HBK, this would be a great feud
" " v orton
" " v rey mysterio
" " v batista
" " v lashley

in most the interviews with him he has sid that he would be back when you least exspect it so it might mean that when he dose come back it will be in a big storyline. and that the HBK feud will be a fantasy because they hate each other.
though if it were to happen the hatred would make the feud alot stronger.

His work always came across as "performances" rather than "competition." I can enjoy a Rock match, but I really prefer wrestlers who make you suspend disbelief and feel as if you're watching a real competition. I just don't think the Rock could do that. That's why I never liked him. Although he did put on good comedy matches.

Rock/Jericho at either NM or Judgement Day '01 is one of Jericho's best matches.

Even if he's not under any contract his profile is still on wwe.com. I would like to see him back for a few months, laying the smackdown on some candy asses, but I don't think he should get another title shot or anything like that.
