I was just at a local bookstore trying to see if I could sell some older wrestling books. A buddy of mine works there, so I figured I could get a reasonable amount for a couple books I have that are kinda tough to get ahold of. Funny thing is though, I was casually talking to the guy, and he tells me that his store just had to pull the book "Under The Mat" again. They only had like two copies, and had to pull both. I never bothered to pick that book up though, so I was pretty confused when he told me. And even more so, when he told me it was by Diana Hart-Smith. Why in the hell would this book have to be pulled from stores, not once, but twice now?

I've heard that Diana goes into pretty graphic detail about her family, and baiscally rips them up. Bret Hart has been pretty strongly against it, and Owen Hart's widow Martha I believe was the first to get it pulled off the shelves. I can only assume it was someone else in the family who got it pulled.

On Wikipdia it says
Bret is a vocal critic of the book and has said that it is a very disturbing read. Bret goes on to say that there are enough true Hart stories that Diana didn't need to resort to fiction.

Makes sense I suppose. I didn't know it was that hard on them. Not that many people would've read it any way. Diana Hart-Smith's biggest claim to fame was being the torn sister/wife at SummerSlam. Not exactly someone that screams read this book to me.
